Are Chiropractors Doctors?

Chiropractors (DCs) are highly trained healthcare professionals who undergo extensive education, including four board exams state compliance. In the U.S., around 77,000 licensed DCs are actively practicing, with additional 10,000 students enrolled in 18 accredited chiropractic colleges. To earn degrees, chiropractors complete at least 4,200 hours of classroom instruction, lab work, and internships, comparable to the allopathic (MD) and osteopathic (DO) doctors. However, it's important to note that chiropractors typically do not prescribe medications, highlighting a key difference between them and traditional physicians.
